Oak Scaffolding is a reputable scaffolding company based in Brighton. We are currently seeking a Yard Manager to oversee the daily operations of our scaffolding yard and manage the logistics for our HGV deliveries and collections. This role is initially a self employed role with the opportunity to become a full time employed member of staff in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Directing scaffolding yard operations

Ensuring all scaffolding equipment meets safety regulations

Preparing materials for use according to company standards (training provided)

Liaising with operations for the efficient movement of scaffolding materials to and from the depot

Supervising Yard Operatives and Drivers

Scheduling and preparing HGVs for daily logistics

Maintaining the yard and workshop spaces

Overseeing the storage and transportation of materials using a Forklift Truck (FLT)

Managing staff attendance and break times

Documenting daily activities in a log

Additional Duties:

Recording and communicating inventory movements to operations

Upholding the highest safety standards in the yard

Enforcing company policies consistently

Demonstrated yard management expertise (mandatory)

Experience in HGV logistics (mandatory)

Prior experience in a scaffolding yard environment (mandatory)
